March for Babies 2009

On Saturday April 25th, Team "Inspired by Nathan" participated in the March for Babies walk held in West Valley City Utah. This was our team's first walk in honor of our little Nathan. We raised $1017 by the day of the walk, which was WAY more than any of us thought would be possible =) Thanks to everyone who donated!

Unfortunately it was cold and windy, after being near 80 degrees the week before. However, we braved the cold, and made the best of it. Everyone looked great in the team shirts that I designed (Thanks Cass for helping me make them!) and our posterboards looked great out on display. They even had snacks before and after the walk, as well as fun stuff for the kids, and even a band. All in all, it was a great experience and I look forward to doing it again!

March of Dimes Yard Sale

Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th Dave and I had a Yard Sale at our house. We decided to donate all of the proceeds to the March of Dimes since we are doing the March for Babies walk this year in honor of Nathan. In fact our team name is Inspired by Nathan. The walk is tomorrow, and we have a large group that will be walking with us. Nearly everyone on our team donated things to sell at the yard sale, and we ended up raising $334! I didn't get any pictures of the yard sale, I did however take pictures of the posterboards we made after things slowed down a bit. *Click on the picture if you want to see it in more detail*

There are two other posters (I made one and Natalie and her sister Stefani made the other) and they will all be posted on Ambassador Avenue, which is a section of the walk route we will be on tomorrow. I will post pictures from the walk within the next few days =) Thanks to everyone who helped out with the yard sale, it was quite a success.

Easter

We had a quiet Easter this year, which is actually pretty normal for us. I work on Sundays and Jordan spends the weekends with his dad, so it was just Camilla, Dave and I. Saturday Camilla, Dave and I colored eggs for the Easter Bunny to hide. This is by far my favorite part of Easter, it gives us a chance to be creative and messy =)

Sunday morning, before I went to work, Camilla had a great time colecting the eggs that the Easter Bunny left for her, which ended with he finding her Easter Basket. She got a Cinderella ball, new flip flops, a lemonade stand, bracelets, bubbles, and of course, candy.

After work we went over to Justin's and had dinner with him and Grandma (Candyce was in California with the girls visiting her mom).
